Medical questionnaire provided prior to appointment

Blood tests carried out week before consultation – All other tests (Urine test, blood pressure, height, weight, BMI) carried out on the day of consultation with Dr Bangar – therefore patients usually asked to attend half hour earlier than appointment time with Dr Bangar so that the nurses can carry out the tests.

Consultation with Dr Bangar. Includes documentation of any symptoms / complaints, assessment of blood sugar contol, previous medical history, drug history, social history. Physical examination – includes foot assessment for neuropathy or peripheral vascular disease.

Blood tests

Renal function – Sodium, Potassium, Creatinine, urea, EGFR. Liver function – Bilirubin, ALP, ALT, GGT, Total Protein, Albumin, Globulin. Fasting Lipid Profile – Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, TAG, Chol/HDL ratio. Diabetes tests- Fasting glucose, HbA1c, Thyroid function – TSH and FT4, Vitamin D

The health check can be adapted to the needs of the patient. Further investigations can be added as per individual requirements, or on findings during the health check. This will be agreed with the patient on the day (and can incur further charge).

A medical report is prepared and sent to the patient.

Follow up is not usually necessary but can be arranged if required.

Clinics are held Thursdays 2.30pm onwards
